About Josh Levine Photo

Dick and Josh

Josh with dad-in-law Dick McNamara, on Dick's Okanogan Farm, 2011

Josh is inspired by painters such as Vermeer and Millet, for their obsession with gorgeous light, and their determination to express the dreamlike sheath they perceived to be cast over ordinary life. Josh is deeply moved by the beauty and majesty found in every moment, every place, and in each of us.

As an experienced editor, writer and business communications specialist, Josh is trained to tell the stories of people and their businesses. His articles and/or photographs have been published in Cookie Magazine, The NJ Star-Ledger, Life Magazine, Discovery.com, Harper's, and elsewhere. He has empowered leading financial services companies to successfully tell their own stories, across media platforms.

Josh now aspires to extend his artistic passion and respect for narrative to the realms of Advertising, Event, Editorial, and Advocacy.

From fighting forest fires in Oregon, to helping build a self-sustaining house in a New Mexico ghost town, and

co-founding the first American magazine in Vietnam, Josh knows his way around some most curious and unforgettable stories.

 And of course, a

long with fellow tribe of one-time or current expats, Josh has been rewarded for living abroad with the ability to see the “normal” with a very fresh set of eyes...

For fun Josh zips along at the cutting edge of communication technology, imagery, and human awareness. He loves to cook for his wife and young daughters, coach soccer, see old friends, and discover new music. Exercise is a big part of Josh's life and he is also committed to improving our existing food system.

He and his girls recently moved to a house perched on the side of a mountain in Watchung, NJ, overlooking Greater New York City. On one side of the house they see the lights of around 12 million people; the other side features wild turkeys, deer and at least one fox: It's nuts! Josh enjoys serving and being inspired by Central and Northern New Jersey, along with New York, Connecticut and eastern Pennsylvania, and beyond. And he happens to love the American West as much as almost anything.
